WG Derailment Detection

The working group on derailment detection held its first session in 2014.

It was set up by the RID Committee of Experts’ standing working group to deal with issues relating to the introduction of derailment detectors and other related measures. Among other things, the issue of detecting derailments concerns the provisions relating to vehicles, which is why participants at OTIF’s Committee of Technical Experts are also invited to attend.

The working group on derailment detection delivered its final report at its 6th session in April 2016.
