The RID Committee of Experts created the standing working group in 2012 in order to discuss and prepare amendments to Appendix C and its annex.

The working group looks at questions of interpretation and amendments to the Regulation concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Rail and its annex (RID). It also carries out work to harmonise the provisions of RID with those of SMGS Annex 2, the rules on the carriage of dangerous goods for the Member States of OSJD.
