Working Group Tech
The working group Technology (WG Tech) was set up by the Committee of Technical Experts (CTE) in 2006. It works in English only. WG Tech meets three times a year.
WG Tech examines all issues concerning harmonisation and technical interoperability with a view to establishing and maintaining equivalence with European Union regulations for the Member States of OTIF.
Besides its primary task of preparing proposals for decision by the CTE, WG Tech is a forum for discussion and exchange between the authorities of Member States, the European Commission, the EU Agency for Railways, and different sector representative organisations.
Participating in WG Tech meetings allows delegates to discuss future developments in the scope of the APTU and ATMF Uniform Rules and to become aware of developments in the EU.
At present, WG Tech is working to develop safe technical interoperability beyond the EU.
