Accident and Incident Reports

According to Article 16 § 4 of the ATMF UR “ The Contracting States shall keep records, publish investigation reports including their findings and recommendations, inform the authorities concerned and the Organisation of the causes of accidents, incidents and severe damage in international traffic that occurred on their territory. 
The 14th session of the Committee of Technical Experts (CTE) (Bern, 14-15 June 2022) requested the Secretary General to make the information that is notified to him in this context accessible through OTIF’s website.

Part 1: Final report version 5.0
Note 1: The JNS risk control measures of the final report version 5.0 of 7 August 2026 replace entirely the JNS risk control measures from the JNS NP 2017-2019 for BA 004 (“crack in the rim”) and the JNS risk control measures from the final report v4.1, published in January 2026 and all other previous versions.
The measures for “crack in the web” (wheel types BA 314 old/ZDB29) from the JNS NP 2017-2019 remain valid.
