Staff Association​

MISSION and OBJECTIVES

The Staff Association is established according to Article 59 of the Staff Regulations of the Intergovernmental Organisation for International Carriage by Rail (OTIF).

 

The mission of the OTIF Staff Association is to ensure that the interests and needs of staff are represented on matters relating to their rights and working conditions. It aims to:

MEMBERS

The Staff Association welcomes both active and associate members.


Active members are any current staff of OTIF with a fixed-term or permanent contract.


Associate members can be any former member of the staff of OTIF who is in receipt of a retirement or invalidity pension, as well as interns for the period of their internship.

GOVERNANCE

The Staff Association consists of the following two organs:

Staff Council

The Staff Council is the executive organ of the Staff Association and represents the interests of staff and defends the Staff Assembly’s decisions to the Secretary General and other persons and organs of OTIF that have competence in areas affecting staff.
The Staff Council also prepares the provisional agenda for the ordinary and extraordinary sessions of the Staff Assembly.

The Staff Assembly

The Staff Assembly is the supreme organ of the Association. As such, it elects the Staff Council, discusses proposals and decides the Association’s course of action and main activities. It comprises all active or associate members of the Association.
