These modifications were adopted by OTIF’s 13th General Assembly in September 2018 and concern, among other things, the adoption of a new Appendix: Appendix H – Uniform Rules concerning the Safe Operation of Trains in International Traffic (EST).
The Swedish government ratified the modifications to COTIF, including the adoption of Appendix H (EST), and the modifications to Appendices E (CUI) and G (ATMF) on 21 November 2024, after completing the procedures under national law. No declaration has been attached to this instrument.
Sweden is now the thirteenth OTIF Member State to ratify these modifications and the Secretariat welcomes this latest ratification.
