His Excellency Mr Mohamed Lamine Laabas, the Algerian ambassador to Switzerland, visited OTIF’s temporary premises on 19 February 2025 to hold talks with Mr Aleksandr Kuzmenko, the new Secretary General, who took up his post on 1 January 2025.
The aim of this courtesy visit was to maintain the link between Algeria and the Organisation and to reaffirm Algeria’s active commitment as a Member State of OTIF.
Algeria has been a member of OTIF’s Administrative Committee since October 2024 and will continue to be a member until September 2027.
