Names of the candidates for the post of Secretary General of OTIF

Four of the Organisation’s Member States have put forward candidates for the post of Secretary General of OTIF for the period from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2027.

The list of candidates for the post of Secretary General validated by the Administrative Committee is shown below in alphabetical order of the candidates’ surnames:

  • CONRAD Jochen (Germany)
  • GROOT Hinne Jaan Ype (Netherlands)
  • KUZMENKO Aleksandr (Lithuania)
  • RUSNÁK Urban (Slovakia)

The General Assembly will elect the next Secretary General of OTIF at its 16th session in Berne on 25 and 26 September 2024.

Call for applications for the election of the Secretary General

The term of office of the current Secretary General, who was re-elected at the 15th session of the General Assembly
(Berne, 28 and 29 September 2021) expires on 31 December 2024.

In accordance with Article 14 § 2 c) of COTIF, the Secretary General for the period from 1 January 2025 to
31 December 2027 will be elected by the 16th General Assembly.
