OTIF makes a variety of publications available to the press and public in order to increase awareness of the Organisation and provide updates on the latest developments in railway law.

The “News” is a trilingual electronic publication which aims to provide information about OTIF’s recent activities and important changes to COTIF, its Appendices and scope. Its publication frequency depends on the news.

The Bulletin of International Carriage by Rail (Bulletin) is a periodical official publication in three languages. It describes the activities of OTIF’s organs and contains useful information on the application of COTIF, such as the latest amendments. It contains articles analysing important topical issues of railway law and the associated case law in general. The first edition of the Bulletin was published in French and German in January 1893. In 2001, the Bulletin became trilingual with the introduction of English. Since 2010, it has only been published in electronic format and its contents have been adapted to developments in the sector.

Information on the Organisation’s strategies and their implementation is available in the biennial work programme and Annual Report. These official documents are submitted to the Administrative Committee for approval and are published in both paper and electronic formats.

Lastly, OTIF publishes studies and makes its logo and graphics charter available to communication professionals.
