Governance and revision of COTIF

OTIF is governed by the General Assembly, which is the supreme decision-making body, and by the Administrative Committee, which oversees the activities of the Secretary General.
Several bodies have the competence to revise the Convention concerning International Carriage by Rail (COTIF).
Competences are shared (Article 33 COTIF).
The General Assembly has the competence to examine and adopt proposals to revise certain parts of COTIF.
The same applies to the Revision Committee.
In addition, the RID Committee of Experts has the competence to modify the Regulation concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Rail (RID).
