Ses fonctions en tant que d\u00e9positaire sont celles qui sont \u00e9nonc\u00e9es dans la partie VII de la Convention de Vienne du 23 mai 1969 sur le droit des trait\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Les fonctions du d\u00e9positaire d\u2019un trait\u00e9 ont un caract\u00e8re international et le d\u00e9positaire est tenu d\u2019agir impartialement dans l\u2019accomplissement de ses fonctions (article 76, \u00a7 2, de la Convention de Vienne). Aux termes de l\u2019article 77, \u00a7 1, de la Convention de Vienne, les fonctions du d\u00e9positaire sont notamment les suivantes :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>assurer la garde du texte original du trait\u00e9 et des pleins pouvoirs qui lui seraient remis\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>\u00e9tablir des copies certifi\u00e9es conformes du texte original et tous autres textes du trait\u00e9 en d\u2019autres langues qui peuvent \u00eatre requis par le trait\u00e9, et les communiquer aux parties au trait\u00e9 et aux \u00c9tats ayant qualit\u00e9 pour le devenir\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>recevoir toutes signatures du trait\u00e9, recevoir et garder tous instruments, notifications et communications relatifs au trait\u00e9\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>examiner si une signature, un instrument, une notification ou une communication se rapportant au trait\u00e9 est en bonne et due forme et, le cas \u00e9ch\u00e9ant, porter la question \u00e0 l\u2019attention de l\u2019\u00c9tat en cause\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>informer les parties au trait\u00e9 et les \u00c9tats ayant qualit\u00e9 pour le devenir des actes, notifications et communications relatifs au trait\u00e9\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>informer les \u00c9tats ayant qualit\u00e9 pour devenir parties au trait\u00e9 de la date \u00e0 laquelle a \u00e9t\u00e9 re\u00e7u ou d\u00e9pos\u00e9 le nombre de signatures ou d\u2019instruments de ratification, d\u2019acceptation, d\u2019approbation ou d\u2019adh\u00e9sion requis pour l\u2019entr\u00e9e en vigueur du trait\u00e9\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>assurer l\u2019enregistrement du trait\u00e9 aupr\u00e8s du Secr\u00e9tariat de l\u2019Organisation des Nations unies ;<\/li>\n<li>remplir les fonctions sp\u00e9cifi\u00e9es dans d\u2019autres dispositions de ladite Convention de Vienne.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Les notifications d\u00e9positaires sont des communications formelles par lesquelles le d\u00e9positaire tient les parties \u00e0 la COTIF inform\u00e9es du statut et des actes relatifs \u00e0 la Convention.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_tta_accordion color=&#8221;white&#8221;
