It has resulted in close cooperation with the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) since it was set up.<\/p>\n<p>The Joint Meeting\u2019s task is to ensure that the dangerous goods provisions for European land transport (RID \u2013 Regulation concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous goods by Rail, ADR \u2013 European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road and ADN \u2013 European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Inland Waterway) are harmonised as closely as possible in order to simplify and promote multimodal transport.
